About Us

The Peruvian Alpaca Co oficially started trading in November, 2003. The founding of the Alpaca Co was a natural progression evolving from Peruvian Secrets, our sister company, a leading UK tour operator specializing in fully guided tours to Peru.

Having lived in Peru during the latter part of the 1990s, director Paul Goodard, has an extensive knowledge of this fascinating country and a deepfound respect and admiration for its people. On returning to live here in Wales, Paul and his wife, Jane set up Peruvian Secrets and from this the Peruvian Alpaca Co was born!

By using our long established network of contacts in Peru, we were able to quickly source some of the most beautiful, top-quality alpaca garments and household wares, to import and share with our customers. We now employ a full-time buyer in Lima, Peru whom sources all of our goods although Paul still travels to Peru as often as possible to source new products from the talented artisans in the more remote areas of Peru.
